This is a short buildup made with fl studio 12 and with a snare from a project of gimbal&sinans; "rawl". Playing around with an eq is much fun xd.

This is a basic dubstep beat. It was done in reason 7. It is useful in that it shows you a good way to construct a beat. It consists of four 4-bar measures, each progressing from the previous. In this way, you can see how to write a good beat, by starting off simple and building from there. Traditional dubstep drums are very spare and sporadic with the use of symbols. This is a basic drum loop featuring a performance on the udu, a middle eastern hand drum. The stereo sample actually consists of the same rhythmic patttern performed on two individual drums of different pitches assigned to the left and right stereo channels. I tried to make a friction drum by stringing a med handglove membrane to a wooden mortar. That mostly failed; i couldn’t control the pitch and make continuous sound. Here the membrane is stroked by a wooden pestle, making quite annoying sounds. Recorded with redmi note 5 phone, denoised and filtered bogus sub bass in audacity.
